Waterlooville Town Centre Masterplan
Brief
The Waterlooville Town Centre Masterplan was commissioned by Havant Borough Council and aimed to revitalise the town centre by enhancing its accessibility, improving public spaces, and fostering economic growth. The project sought to create a sustainable, vibrant town centre that meets the needs of both retailers and the local community. Støriie worked with project lead Feria Urbanism and played a key role by conducting business enquiries with local retailers and developing an action plan outlining short, medium, and long-term strategies for high street regeneration.
Process
Støriie began by engaging with high street retailers, conducting thorough business enquiries to gather insights into their current challenges and future aspirations. This research informed the creation of an action plan with phased goals for short, medium, and long-term regeneration efforts. The plan addressed critical areas such as retail sustainability, public space improvements, and pedestrian and traffic management, ensuring a comprehensive approach to revitalising Waterlooville’s town centre.
Project Highlights
Testimonial
“The consultancy team worked really well with the Council and throughout the process it really did feel like we were one team. They each had the right blend of skills and knowledge that gave us confidence that we could put them in front of our residents. The Masterplan that they delivered hit the right note for the people of Waterlooville, and residents felt that the team had really taken to heart and incorporated their ideas in the final masterplan document.
